Shantanu Agarwal: I took admission at Mindworkzz in January 2018. During the initial months my prep mostly comprised of attending the weekend classes at the institute and then doing follow up questions on the covered topics. For VA-RC, initially, my focus was on reading novels and articles on different issues. Towards the month of October my prep shifted to solving previous year questions and mock CAT papers.

Mindworkzz: How did you prepare for CAT?
Mindworkzz: What role did Mindworkzz play in your preparation?
Shantanu Agarwal: The teachers at Mindworkzz were really helpful and I believe they are the USP of the institute. Arun Sharma sir guided us with the mental preparation for the exam in addition to introducing us to innovative methods that made the toughest of problems seem like child’s play. Lokesh Sir in particular was really good at explaining practically any topic in the syllabus and solving our doubts when the need arose. Meenakshi Ma’am was very helpful with her insights in VA-RC, in fact her emphasis on reading over solving at the initial stage really played a key role on the exam day and helped me learn about a variety of different issues and ideas that I was previously unaware of.
Mindworkzz: What is your advice for future aspirants?
Shantanu Agarwal: My advice is simple , it won’t be difficult to crack the exam if you believe you can. As Arun Sharma Sir once put it if you can add, subtract, divide and multiply you stand as much a chance to make it through CAT as does any 100 percentile. It’s all about being able to do the same things in a more efficient manner. Just make sure to identify your strengths and weaknesses and work upon the weak areas in a time defined manner. If you can do that through the next few months I guess you won’t have much to worry about a week before CAT 2019.
